Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My daughter Ava was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at our 20 week scan, which is a congenital heart condition that requires corrective open heart surgery. At just 6 weeks old Ava needed to have a stent fitted in her heart, and at 9 months old she underwent her repair surgery and thanks to the amazing team at the LGI has thrived ever since.

We will forever be eternally grateful for the quality of and support we received from all the surgeons, cardiologists, doctors and nurses at the LGI, meaning we can all look forward to a very happy future as a family.

For this reason, each year I have pledged to undertake a personal challenge to raise money for The Children's Heart Surgery Fund, which supports the work of the team at the LGI. For this year's challenge I have just completed the UltraX 50km trail run as a way for me to say a huge thank you for the life saving help we have received.
