J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race 2014 · 21 June 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the past ten years I have regularly sailed around The Solent, and have also undertaken longer cruises to the Channel Islands and along the Dorset/Devon Coast. My current yacht, Amazing Grace, is a Bavaria 37; she was launched in 2006 and is based at Chichester Marina.
My neighbour, Nigel Earle, has taken part in the JP Morgan Asset Management Round the Island races on a number of previous occasions, and has encouraged me to enter this years race on 21st June. Nigel and I are ably supported by an experienced crew consisting of : Chris Kidd, Mark Dean, Nick Donald and Nigel's son George.
We are all really looking forward to the challenge of taking part in this world famous 50 nautical mile race alongside around 1700 other yachts.
We are raising money for Headway in West Kent, who do an amazing job supporting people with brain injuries. My wife, Donna, has been a volunteer at Headway for a number of years. She has seen first hand what a difference this charity has made to people's lives - people who have, one minute, just been going about their normal day to day business, and then - after say a car accident, falling off a ladder, a skiing accident, getting hit by a cricket ball, a stroke (to name just a few examples), their lives have changed forever.
"Headway has made such a difference to my life." Jeff F
A brain injury can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time and in any way.
Thank you so much for your support.
