Newcastle Hospitals Charity is the official Charity of Newcastle Hospitals. Home of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and the Great North Children's Hospital, we help our hospitals go further by making a positive difference for our patients, staff and communities.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am supporting this charity and taking part in this challenge to support my brother in law (Mark Thompson) who is organising the event on behalf of his new father in law.

Peter Dowen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last September and has been found to have an extremely rare form of this canacer called "Acinar cell" type comprising around 1% of all pancreatic malignancies.

The Dowen family are positive and putting energies in creating this charity to support other families and fund further research.

Pete's Pancreas Project is the fundraising effort to finance some research to help people in a similar situation. "The Dowen Trust Fund" has been set up at The Hepatobiliary Unit, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

It is hoped that by raising some money for this cause it can help other patients and their families who are faced with this diagnosis

I am just a very small part of this great cause but I would really appreciate it if you could support me in this.

So please dig deep and donate now.
