In 2017 my family and I were unlucky enough to find out how devastating a stroke can be when both my parents had strokes within 5 weeks of each other.

Both their experiences are very different and shows that a stroke doesn't affect any two people in the same way. Mum & dad have had to learn to deal with their different challenges in their own way, luckily both still have their individuality with mum being very strong and knowing what she wants and dad still cracking his jokes!

Without charities like the stroke association, people that have been affected by stroke wouldn't have the support they need so I wanted to do a little something to raise some money in mum & dads names. They were both keen cyclists when they were younger so this seemed a very fitting activity to do for them.
