Little Foxs was set up by a group of friends in 2000 in memory of their friend Ray Fox, who died from prostate cancer. It’s aim is to raise money for Barnsley people with a diagnosis of cancer. It contributes to the everyday costs of living with cancer, but also shopping vouchers and small holidays

Story

On the 31st of October 2019 our dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. He started his treatment almost straight away on Ward 24 (Chemo ward) at Barnsley Hospital, he then went on to have further treatment at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield which finished on the 24th February 2020.

Then Covid came and our dad had to shield which wasn't a  easy thing for him to do because he was always so active. He was nearly at the end of shielding and he had also been told he was having more treatment which perked him up a little bit. But then on Friday 24th July 2020 he developed a blood clot on his lung and was rushed into hospital.

Unfortunately he never recovered and passed away in the early hours of Sunday 26th July 2020

Whilst having treatment in Barnsley Hospital he learnt about a charity called 'The Little Fox's' and all the good work they do for people living with cancer.

John was a much loved Husband, Dad and Grandad who will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

All donations are very much appreciated, no matter how small.
