Story

I play tennis with Jimmy's Tennis, based at Frindsbury Lawn Tennis Club. Jimmy's Tennis runs Tennis For Kids programmes, individual coaching and group sessions.  It also has the largest tennis LD disability programme in the UK, with a waiting list for more time on court. However, as all of the courts are open air, poor weather often means that sessions have to be cancelled, and kids miss out.

We are trying to raise funds towards the cost of building a roof over the two mini tennis courts at Frindsbury LTC, which would allow sessions to go ahead in bad weather. To do this, Jimmy's Tennis is taking part in a 24hr tennis marathon on 22 February 2020. During a 4 hour slot, sponsored players (young and old) will 'Challenge the Pro” to a set number of points, competing against National British Tennis players at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton.

I am also organising some fund-raising activities at school, and amongst family and friends.

Please help us to offer more time on court and get more kids involved in sport! Many thanks for your support.
