Our beautiful daughter Cara was born in February 2021. We discovered soon after her 20 week scan that she would be born without a right hand. 

We were so fortunate to find the amazing charity Reach, which was an invaluable source of reassurance and support - the group really helped us to navigate what felt at times to be a complete information overload and many medical appointments! It also provides amazing opportunities for children with upper limb differences to meet and forge friendships - Even in one year the practical advice we've benefited from has been fantastic. 

The upshot of the above is that we were able to look forward to Cara’s birth full of excitement and without trepidation, knowing that there was nothing she couldn’t achieve and there is a ready-made support network waiting for her thanks to the wonderful work of Reach!

We wanted to show our thanks and also raise funds for Reach and so we are entering a team in the Belfast City Marathon, which is taking place on the 1st of May 2022. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
