Most of you will know me already, and are maybe even wondering what is she thinking taking on a trek in the desert!! 

I have supported Children in Crossfire myself for many years now and really believe in their mission, and when I saw that they were looking for volunteers I thought if I don't do it now I never will- some of you may not realise I have a back condition so this will be even more of a challenge, but I really want to go the extra mile for the Children who will benefit. 

Just as an example of what your donations can achieve on the ground, 

20 pounds can provide a child with a school meal for an entire year in Tanzania. 

25 pounds can provide a family with clean safe water for life in Ethiopia.
