Thank you so much for taking time to visit my page.
Being half Palestinian, the current crisis in Gaza is something which is very close to my heart. The daily reports & pictures coming out of Gaza are truly heartbreaking & have haunted my every thought.
What's awful is when I first typed this, I was distraught as over 100 people had been killed. Each day the number is rising far beyond I could ever have imagined. As I type this, the current death toll in Gaza over the past 3 weeks alone is now over a shocking 1700, 400 of them innocent children. Where will this horrific figure stop at?? I feel absolutely heartbroken & helpless watching from across the world & in disbelief this is still being allowed to carry on.
I felt the need to do 'something big' to raise as much money as possible as soon as possible, and trust me..for me a skydive is big! If you know me, you will know I am not your typical thrill seeker..I like being safe on the ground & I am used to baking cakes to raise money! The thought of doing a skydive terrifies me but seeing what the people of Gaza are going through quickly makes me feel shameful for even being scared...I can't even imagine the fear they are experiencing...
I am paying the full fees myself (£230 for the skydive + £99 to have it videoed) so everything donated will go to MAP. Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) are already on the ground getting emergency aid into Gaza, but as the seige continues they are under great stress and supplies & hospitals are completely gone now in some areas. Over 9000 & rising are injured & they desperately need our help. Thank you so much for supporting me in this cause.
