Update (22 Mar): final weigh-out was at 79.3kg, meaning I lost 25.9% (28kg, 4.5 stone, 60 lbs) of my body weight in just over 2 months

Update (21 Feb): 4 weeks in and 12kg lost - 12.5% of body weight - even over Chinese New Year. Going for the full target!

I'm raising money for The Cambodian Children's Charity (www.camkids.org) by accepting a challenge to loose lots of weight. 

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world, crippled by decades of war, international embargoes, political instability and economic stagnation. The majority of the population live in rural areas, are poor and lack access to even the most basic services. Half of the population are under the age of 18 years and levels of child abandonment and abuse are therefore very high. For many impacted children the streets or rubbish tips of the major cities are their only means of survival - begging or becoming the victims of the child sex trade. Many simply die, unknown, unloved and unaccounted for.

CamKids was established to help children in Cambodia who are either poor or whose parents are not there for them: orphans, street children, children living in poor rural areas and children affected by natural disasters, such as flood or famine.

Starting from 5 January 2012, I have until the start of Hong Kong Sevens (21 March 2012) to loose as much weight as possible.

Weigh-in: 107kgs / 235lbs / 17 stone

Target loss: 10-25% of body weight in 10 weeks
