Smart Works Leeds would like to invite you to an Afternoon Tea with a difference! It's true for all of us that we're missing family and friends at this difficult time, but as restrictions ease, we want you to celebrate in style with 5 of your closest family and friends, by hosting an Afternoon Tea Party on the 4th July - you can host your Tea for Smart Works on any day that suits you.

Here's how it's going to work:

Choose to host & get dressed up:

Choose to host an afternoon tea in your garden, invite 5 people to join you and commit to fundraising a minimum of £30 as a group for Smart Works Leeds. 

Bake cakes or order from your favourite cafe:

If you're an avid baker, or someone who would just like to give it a go, this is the perfect excuse to get your apron on! Look out for some recipes on our social media to help you build your perfect afternoon tea. Alternatively, you can support your favourite afternoon tea supplier by ordering from them! Make sure you give them plenty of notice so that they can deliver to you in time!

Pick a theme: 

You can pick a theme, write a quiz, or just catch up with those best friends you've been missing. The Smart Works Leeds team will be wearing tea dresses and hosting a Wimbledon themed quiz! What could you do? Here are some ideas: VE Day, WI, Cricket, Fuddle, and more!

On the day we'll be sharing the best pictures of you enjoying your afternoon tea and fundraising for Smart Works Leeds on our social media. You can send them to us on social media to show your celebrations in action.

Why participate?

Smart Works Leeds is committed to empowering women to access the job market by giving them confidence and self belief through coaching and dressing. At the moment we are operating an online service to support our clients and we know that when things return to 'normal' our services are going to be in even higher demand. To run our service and help as many women as possible, it's crucial that we fundraise as much money to support our cause as possible. What we do works; nationally 64% of the women who access Smart Works get the job at their next interview after visiting our centres. Smart Works Leeds opened its doors in November 2019 and we are committed to helping as many women within the Leeds City Region and beyond to get back to work and transform their lives. Please help us to help as many women as possible. 

How to fundraise? 

We're asking that each group participating in Tea for Smart Works donates a minimum of £30. This works out at a £5 donation per person in a group of 6. You simply need to donate either £5 each or £30 as a group to participate!
