Land's End to John O'Groats on bikes with with another five middle aged men is not indicative of a mid-life crisis as the bikes are not Harley Davidsons and there are no cheerleaders involved - subject to review at Warrington, the Harleys that is...

Of the six of us that make up the Racing Sardines (Alistair Blackhall, Lindsay Hampton, Ben Forbes, Lee Clifford and Kevin Hamilton are the others) four of us rode across West Bengal in 2006 and helped raise £25k for Dr Graham's Homes, Kalimpong - perhaps you were a kind donor.

 

For this trip I have chosen a charity closer to home - Children 1st, probably needs no introduction - but do look at their website, they do great work so please support them.  Knowing you are making a donation, however modest, will ease the pain as we cycle the thousand or so miles over ten days from Monday 7th September 2009.
