Please help me raise a grand for a good cause. While doing so you will be motivating me to get back into one of my favorite pursuits.

I am attempting the Lochore standard distance triathlon with a friend's husband who persuaded me this is a good idea over a pint. He is a seasoned triathlete and is building up to an ironman in Wales later in the year (go Jim, go!).

My last tri was the Barcelona triathlon 6 years ago, before getting tubby following marriage, two child births and the stress of a house renovation.

Although I am back a bit fitter, I am attempting with under one months focused training. What could go wrong.
