Sophia is chopping off her hair for a wig for a chemotherapy patient

Chopping my hair off to be made into a wig for a chemotherapy patient · 25 May 2018
Last year I almost lost one of my closest friends to a seizure as a result of a brain tumour . Before I met him, my friend had had intense chemo therapy and became an advocate for a brain tumour charity. Despite what he has been through and the daily seizures he suffers as a result he is one of the most wonderful, resilient and kindest people I have ever met and has never stopped fighting for more awareness of this type of cancer.
I found out how little money goes to brain tumour and brain cancer charities and wanted to find a different way of raising money for Brain Tumour Research. So on Friday 25th I'm going to get my hair cut as part of a transformation campaign with The Little Princess Trust and the hair salon, Sean Hanna.
My hair will be made into a wig and donated to a young girl who is receiving chemo therapy and has lost her hair, through the Little Princess' Trust. I hope that my hair will help someone going through chemo therapy to feel good about themselves and help improve their confidence.
I also want to raise some money for Brain Tumour Research because they helped my friend and do fantastic work to advance research and funding to prevent brain tumours and help those who have been diagnosed.
Please help me raise some money for this fantastic cause while I get my hair chopped off and made into a wig, help me raise money and raise awareness of amazing people like my friend!
