We are Active Rainbow, our main goal is to help people lead a healthy lifestyle through fully accessible exercise sessions, courses and well-being workshops.  

We have been working with the local community of Calderdale for many years, specifically focusing on individuals who have various health conditions or starting out on their well-being journey.

We have worked closely with 3 of our members who have Mito to help maintain their mobility and gain strength and motivation. It's now our turn to help raise money for those families that are affected by Mito. Heidi and I will be abseiling down Wainhouse Tower on 16th July to raise money for research.

What is Mito?

Mitochondrial disease - mito for short - is a debilitating and cruel illness affecting energy production. Our missions are run by affected families who want to raise awareness, research and hopes for a cure. Whether you help the charity as a whole, or an individual mission - it's the same great cause.More research into mito could be the key to unlocking many other illnesses too. MILLIONS in the UK have conditions which also involve mitochondrial damage - diabetes, MS, sepsis, stroke, some cancers & many more. THANK YOU for your support.
