Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Sophie and I am 16 years Old. This year I decided to run my first half Marathon and thought it would be nice to raise money in aid of Ferne animal Sanctuary and amazing charity who help unwanted farm and domestic animals. I am doing lots of training for the Kingston Half marathon with the actual event happening on the 23rd October 2022.
Ferne have been caring for unwanted and abandoned farm and domestic animals for over 80 years. Every penny raised will help an animal in need, from enabling Ferne to rehome them into a loving home, or giving them a place to live out the rest of their lives. Some of the animals come to the Sanctuary because they have been neglected or are no longer wanted;others arrive when their owners are no longer able to keep them.
All these animals are given the care and attention
they need to enjoy a happy life while they are at
Ferne. Where possible, they rehome cats, dogs and
horses within a 40 mile radius, providing them with a
lifelong safety net should they ever need it.
Ferne animal sancturay is important to me as they help animals who need to find their forever home and otherwise would have been neglected and helpless. Also it is the place where I got my dog Samson (The dog in the cover photo) from 10 years ago but who unfortunately passed away this August . This makes them even more important to me because with out their work to help rehome farm and domestic animals I would never have had the chance to own such an amazing dog like Samson was.
Thank you very much for your support.
