Story
I may well be known for my two left feet and somewhat lack of co-ordination, but were you also aware of the fact that I have always hated running with a passion? I have been known to miss trains in the past because I refused to run to catch them! So you may well be thinking what on earth am I doing signing up for a half-marathon?
Well, I basically want to achieve something I never, and no one who knows me, ever thought possible. I will be running in memory of my beautiful, much loved and missed sister-in-law Lizzie, who died 2 years ago from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She showed me that when you set your mind to something than anything is possible. Whilst I would love nothing more than to have her there to meet me at the finish line I know she will be with me every footstep of the way and I only have to think of her smile to make me carry on.
I do appreciate the fact that people are always being asked for sponsorship, and for some far greater feats than 'just' a half marathon, but I do ask you to bear in mind my two left feet (have I already mentioned them? ) and far more importantly, that this is a cause very close to my heart.
