Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you will know keeping fit was not one of my greatest passions and whilst I always had a membership to the gym - I had only ever been to the SPA!  All that changed after I had Casper and realized the pounds I had piled on whilst pregnant, were not going to move without a serious mission!  I HATED running with a passion and to start with could literally only manage 1 minute at a time.  Slowly, slowly I built up and by the start of this year was running several times a week.

Casper and Kit, are truly my inspiration for this run not least of all because staying fit and healthy is a necessity just to keep up with them as this picture shows!  But seriously, I wanted to do this half marathon for a charity that was about children, and the NCDS is so brilliant because it is such a practical charity, offering advice, help and support to children and parents who are dealing with hearing issues.  Their mission is to remove barriers to achievement of deaf children though-out the world, and as I am a true believer that you can make up for almost anything ( in my case a serious lack of sporting talent! ) with hard work and determination it seemed a great charity to support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I really would appreciate any donation, however small, all the pennies really do add up!
