Story

Hundreds of unaccompanied children are currently stuck in horrendous conditions in the Calais 'Jungle' just 40 miles from the UK.
We are staff from Plumcroft Primary School who are keen to  support the children in the camp who don't have an adult looking after them. Already traumatised children are facing daily dangers, which are set to increase with the clearance of the camp in late October. Nearly 400 of these unaccompanied children have a legal right to join their relatives in the UK. We are supporting 'Safe Passage UK' who are working with lawyers, social workers and local authorities to bring the children to a place of greater safety. Plumcroft children, families and staff will be carrying out a range of further fundraising and awareness raising activities on Friday 21st October. Please do join us! (see the school website for futher details).

Mr Greenwald, Miss Evans and Plumcroft parent Miles Speak will be cycling from New Cross to Richmond and back again. Miss Nicol, Mrs Beckley and Ms Spicer will be walking from Woolwich to Westminster along the river. Also joining us on the walk will be former Plumcroft teacher Sarah Dainton and Danny Nicol.
