On the 2nd of March 2012 i was diagnoised with breast cancer. Since then i have undergone two lots of surgery, 6 brutal cycles of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy.

Breast Cancer Care supported me everyday through my treatment and connected me to 16 wonderful women who shared the journey with me and made it that much easier.

You learn many things when you face the cancer mountain, (m&s surgery bras are best. Steriods are an amazing cure for tiredness. There is no such thing as front buttoned pj's for the under 80's) but the most important thing was that cancer has given me more than it has taken away. I have made lifelong friends whom I never would have known had it not been for BCC

This time last year I was embarking on my treatment. This year I will be walking 10 miles with my new found cancer buddies to raise money so that nobody should ever face breast cancer alone.
