Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge is an annual go-cart race down York's Finest Street.

On Sunday 28th August 2016 (the August Bank Holiday) fifty teams from all over Britain will be racing their home made soapbox carts down the steep cobbles street of Micklegate, from the Bar to the River Ouse.

We have spent months building, testing and refining our soapbox and we are looking to raise money, no mater how small, for a wonderfully charity called Special Times in Hull. Special Times is headed up by Rachel and Ian Russell and the Charity provides much needed respite and care for disabled children. Hopefully some of the parents and children will be there on the day to cheer the team on in the race. Please donate no matter how small. The race is only a bit of fun, but the charity is incredible, valuable and inspiring.

Thanks - Alan & Sandra (Ian & Rachel, Special Times)
