Off The Fence Harvest Appeal 2021

OFF THE FENCE
The extremes of poverty and wealth, opportunity and none, hope and the lack of it, make Brighton and Hove seem like two communities in one. As we see the gaps widening, and the cracks appear beneath our feet, we struggle to understand it, but know that we must do something to help. We've been working with the homeless, women in crisis and children in education in Brighton and Hove for nearly 25 years. These three strands have been developing since the charity began in 1997 and come from over two decades of finding the root causes of poverty and being right there beside them. Homelessness isnt solved by a sleeping bag and hot food, though sleeping bags and hot food are an excellent place to start. Off The Fence has always been about offering the practical tools and emotional support needed for a transformed life and brighter future. So we deal with the ever progressing and receding tides of everyday life for our clients.
