Humanitas is a cutting edge, ambitious charity. We believe that everyone is entitled to healthcare, an education and a family. We strive to provide these 3 keys rights in countries and areas where it is most needed.

Story

We are delighted to be re-launching our Grow-a-Pound project which we have run successfully in the past in aid of the charity Humanitas.

Through Grow-a-Pound, we support the Ayensuako School in Ghana which is run by Humanitas.  We  have had close links with the building and resourcing of the primary school and we are now supporting their new secondary school.  This year Humanitas is also supporting aid work in Ukraine.

How does Grow-a-Pound work?  Each pupil is given £1 by the School which they use in any way they choose to make a profit. In the past children have done a variety of things e.g. washed cars, held cake sales or done gardening.  The profits children make are given
to Humanitas.  Be sure to take a picture of your fundraising activity
and share this with Mrs Dely (pdely@sjcs.co.uk).
