Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I never believed I could ever run a marathon. 

My two boys attend an amazing, single form entry, Catholic Primary School with wonderful, enthusiastic children who have a real thirst for knowledge and a great sense of fun. The school is heavily reliant on charitable donations to be able to deliver, as the current lack of funding to schools in general, threatens to undermine the future for all our children. 

Going from couch to running 26.2 miles in 4 months has been the biggest challenge of my life. I have battled with my old knees, blisters and sheer exhaustion to be able to get to touching distance, with a month to go. 

I hope you will be able to support me in running this marathon by donating to help support St Mary's. The money raised will be used for the direct benefit of all the pupils by providing much needed equipment and resources. 

This year the school will be focusing on updating the reading books, musical equipment and art resources.

1.  £5 buys a recorder, enabling each of our children to learn a musical instrument.
2.  £100 buys playground equipment for use at lunchtime.
3.  £150 buys a set of whole class shared reading books.
4.  £500 will provide a class set of sports equipment.
5.  £1,000 will provide new reading books for a class.
