In Memory of Stan Partridge

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those who knew my Dad and for those who did not, he was
a kind and gentle man. One who loved his football and television, but first and foremost he loved his family.
He would spend hours sitting in Tots car park waiting for one
of us to fall out of the nightclub, usually with us offering our friends lifts
home, which Dad would dutifully oblige. Then there were the food recipes we would make him eat after home economic lessons. He would offer a warm smile and an "oh that's lovely" comment even though the dish was black, burnt and downright inedible. Christmas'
were also compiled of spraying his hair blue when he tried to sneak a nap after the Queen's speech. Despite this he loved us and his pride never faltered.
With sadness Dad has now gone and he leaves a large hole in
many hearts. His passing was sudden and unexpected. It was however ironic that it was to Benfleet that he would return to, albeit, Benfleet Ward, Acute Stroke Unit at Southend Hospital that is. Whilst there, he was treated with compassion and care. We were treated with great sensitivity and comfort at what was to be a sad time. The staff and doctors were wonderful.
Dad was never one for flowers or scenes of gratitude, he preferred the simple ways of saying thank you as well as believing flowers were
just a waste of money. Therefore should you wish to celebrate the life of our Dad, please make a donation to Benfleet Ward, using this fund raising page.
Thank you Dad for being you and for being our Dad.
We love you and miss you very much
