Story

We, the R&D Team from the Cereal Partners Worldwide UK Regional Technical Centre in Staverton, Wiltshire are planning to join a local independent charity in celebrating their 25th Anniversary by taking part in a sponsored walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal. As a Team, we aim to complete the first section of the walk from Bath to Bradford on Avon (9.5 miles) on Friday 22nd May.

The award-winning charity, Alzheimer's Support, provides excellent care services to improve the quality of life for dementia sufferers and their family carers in East and West Wiltshire, covering Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon, Warminster, Westbury, Devizes, Melksham, Marlborough and Pewsey. The support is offered to people with all types of dementia and is tailored to their client's needs, promoting continued independence, fulfilment and social inclusion that would otherwise be lost as the dementia progresses. For more details, please take a look at their website (address below).

We feel that Alzheimer's Support is a truly excellent local cause that is worth supporting to raise awareness of the impact of dementia in society, and to help those affected by it. We shall be delighted if we can also raise a good sum of money for the charity through this event.
