To celebrate 50 years of 1100s THE 1100 CLUB is organising a LEJOG (Lands end to John O’Groats) rally just for 1100s Start August 5 2012.

My Girlfriend Gemma and I will be taking part in this rally in a 1971 Austin 1300 called Rusty (by name and nature). The Rally will be spread over 6 days and in so doing we hope to raise money for local charity CLAIRE HOUSE.  

The rally starts at Lands end, which is a long way from the Wirral before we even start! Then on the way up it will include a visit to Dr Alex Moulton, visit to mini plant, loch ness and John O’Groats (hopefully if we make it).

Then on the way back down stopping at a few places of interest before Finishing at the Heritage museum Gaydon where the 1100 National Rally will be held on the weekend of 11 & 12 August. A weekend where all 1100’s, 1300’ and visiting classics are welcome.

Any donations to Claire house through the website would be wonderful and give us an extra reason to take part in this epic rally…………I just hope old Rusty can do it.
