Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am going to be running the Manchester Half Marathon on 26th May 2024 to support the work of Big Issue North. 

Big Issue North changes lives and they certainly helped me to do just that! Everyone has the right to earn an independent income, so anyone who wants to sell Big Issue North magazine can do so. Big Issue North produce a wide range of socially conscious media content, including a weekly magazine sold by homeless and vulnerably housed people in the North of England. Big Issue North vendors, just like me, are self-employed and buy magazines from their regional offices for £2 each, then sell them on established pitches in towns and cities for £4 across the north, keeping the profit from every sale. Vendors are also given advice by staff on how to get help with anything from developing their skills or accessing English language courses, to getting housing, financial or health advice, which can help achieve goals and improve vendor lives.
