Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the Belfast City Marathon on Monday 3rd May 2010 and I would really appreciate your support. I am doing it in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, as I think we all take our lives and health for granted and would like to contribute something to this charity as they make such a difference to people at a difficult time in their life.

Marie Curie Cancer Care spends over £10,000 every hour of every day on nursing, hospices and research. This support and care is vital to terminally ill people and their families. Their dedication ensures that more people have the choice of care at home or at a local Marie Curie hospital.

- £20 pays for a Marie Curie nurse for one hour in a patients home.

- £135 would pay for attendance at a Day Therapy Unit for one dat in a Marie Curie Hospice.

- £160 pays for a full shift for a Marie Curie Nurse at a patients home.

- £800 pays for the cost of caring for an in-patient in a Marie Curie Hospice for a day.
