Story

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it means a lot especially as this is the first time I've ever done any big money fundraiser like this.

For those of you that don't know, I was recently diagnosed with early stages of degenerative Osteoarthiritis in my hips. As you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock, since i haven't hit 'old age' yet- and as it turns out, this condition in younger people is a lot more common than I thought.

Before i was diagnosed, I had been training hard preparing for the climb, until I found out and that then put a massive hold on everything, not just hitting me physically, but mentally too. So yeah, it's going to make climbing that mountain even tougher, and way more of a challenge than i ever imagined when i signed up for this at the beginning of the year, BUT i'm determined to keep going as 'normal' and tick this off the bucket list!!

A lot of research is going into the cause and treatment of this  condition and although there's no cure at the moment, your donation will help continue the valuable research and provide high quality information and support to sufferers e.g hosting workshops on living with the condition etc.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please guys, we're setting off on the 20th September so get stuck in and dig deep...I really do appreciate it :-)

Mucho thanks again!

Steph
