Story

My beautiful girl Scout was taken to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue as a tiny puppy, along with her brothers and sisters. I was lucky enough to be able to give Scout a loving home.

Losing Scout to bone cancer last year was the biggest heartache of my life and I miss her so much each day. Getting out walking without her has been hard but has also allowed me time to grieve and remember the wonderful adventures we had together.

Together with my good friend Jean, I will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, one after the other!

Taking part in this challenge will be a persona test but gives me the opportunity to give back to the wonderful charity Stokenchurch Dog Rescue and raise money in Scout's memory so that other dogs can find their loving forever home.

Scout, you'll be with me every step of the way.

About the charity

Stokenchurch dog rescue was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs. We never destroy a healthy dog, believing that somewhere there is a kind and permanent home for every dog. We also take in and care for the sick, the old and the traumatised.
