We fund soft toys and clinical resources to support children with brain tumours

Story

Thank you so so much for visiting my JustGiving page, any donation however big or small means so much and will go towards bringing comfort to children with brain tumours who are going through the most difficult time of their lives that no child should have to go through.

Larsen was my nephew's friend who after being misdiagnosed too many times was diagnosed with a brain tumour over a year after his parents first noticed that he could not see. He endured horrific treatment plans and was so brave and brilliant throughout, however he lost his battle at just 5 years old in December 2019. Larsen's pride was founded in his memory to improve the lives of children with brain tumours.

When I was thinking of fundraising ideas, I didn’t want to repeat events that I had done in the past such as half marathons. I really wanted to do something a bit different and the bigger and crazier the better. I love a good old boogie and so I figured why not do it for 24 hours and so the 24 hours danceathon arose! I have these big ideas and then like to worry about the difficulty later, however when I found out that Tess and Claudia, from Strictly Come Dancing, did 6 months’ worth of personal training sessions prior to their 24-hour danceathon
even I was a bit overwhelmed. Hopefully, a few Joe Wicks workouts in
preparation will help me out…

I will be at the Air Hostess pub in Tollerton, Nottingham from 12pm on Friday 6th May 2022 to 12pm on Saturday 7th May 2022.

Any support will be so very much appreciated and if you fancy it, come and join me and have a dance!!

Larsen's Pride was set up in memory of Larsen, who died aged 5 years old, from a rare and aggressive brain tumour. Our mission is to improve the lives of the youngest brain tumour patients (0-12) during their treatment. We do this through the delivery of soft toys and clinical resources.
