Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I didn't tell anyone I was running the London Marathon as my confidence was on the floor and wasn't sure I could deal with the added pressure of being asked how my training was going. It's been a long cold winter...

Turns out on the day, I found my mojo, and despite the heat the day was incredible, gruelling and emotional, with crazy moments of delirium. I finished in just under five hours, and apart from the chaffing and a perished toe nail, I'm still in one piece, and so incredibly proud and honoured to have been a part of such a brilliant day.  London at its best.

Please help me raise funds for a charity dear to my heart. My father died as a young man from cancer and the thought I could help other young adults dealing with the perils faced with diagnosis really spurred me on. The work the charity does is immeasurable and deserves all the support we can muster.

And I ran with my husband Olly, injured for five weeks prior to the race, it was touch and go if he'd make it to the start line. But he did, and with sheer grit and determination made his way round too, coming in fifteen minutes before me. I'm so proud of him, and seeing him there at the finish waiting for me was such a special moment. Renewed respect and love for the old man, better than marriage counselling! Olly ran for another amazing charity ActionAid.
