Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rosie will be dancing to at least one song  a day for 21days through March! Along with her Mummy and Big Bro!

As a number of you are aware, our little Rosie joined us in Sept 2020. On the day after was born the midwife shared with us that she thought Rosie might have Down Syndrome. After being readmitted to hospital for Rosie to get the care she required it was confirmed on day 6 that Rosie was a baby born with Down Syndrome (Trisomy21)

After having a low chance screening result during pregnancy, this news came as a complete shock, it was extremely difficult to come to terms with, especially whilst Rosie was poorly and our family was separated from one another.

Finding the DSO website and the pre school group whilst in hospital came as a great comfort. Reading stories similar to ours was extremely reassuring. Although we haven’t been able to meet up in person, we have been lucky enough to take part in a few virtual events since Rosie was born, and it’s been really great for the whole family.

We know DSO will be a constant source of support to Rosie and us as a family, as well as many other families, so we hope to raise some money this year and years to come in order to give the charity the much needed funds to provide this support :-)
