We raise funds to support The Walton Centre in Liverpool

Story

Some of you may know that I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour which, due to the excellent care and attention I received at The Walton Centre, has been successfully removed. I therefore wish to raise as much money as possible for the hospital charity which will not only fund research and development into all manner of head injuries and diseases but also help fund the necessary social requirements of running such a hospital.

As the Walton Centre is the leading neurological hospital outside London there are patient demands on it from all over the country.  The Walton Centre has a special ward where the families of patients can stay for a number of weeks until it has found suitable alternative accommodation for them, which alleviates a major worry for the families.  The cost of maintaining the facility is considerable and so I have decided to do a sponsored weight loss to raise funds for the charity.

As many of you know I am a “larger" than life character and probably was the largest person you know.  In September I weighed 28 stone but then had bariatric surgery to remove part of my stomach resulting in a gastric sleeve and a far smaller eating pattern.  My surgeon indicated that over the next two  years I should lose approximately 10 stone but due to my unforeseen visit to the Walton Centre I have already made great strides.

I intend to obtain sponsorship for my weight loss up to 30 September 2018 and I would be grateful if you would sponsor me corporately or individually per pound, per gram or per stone.

Many thanks in advance for your support and generosity.
