Well, we're moving on to our biggest, most exciting, single fundraiser. The date of 27th August is when we take THE WALK OF A LIFETIME, with the legendary Queens Guide to Morecambe Bay - Cedric Robinson MBE.

Our small dedicated team has worked incredibly hard during the year and this staggering total to date -20th May 2016- in excess of £12500 is quite unbelievable.  We hope to add to this, and we have been helped considerably by the Deputy Editor of the Caravan Club magazine John Thynne, by promoting our WALK OF A LIFETIME in two issues this year.

Hi friends. We are keen caravanners and ralliers and this year, Stephen has become Chairman of the Cumbria Centre. You may or may not be aware that the Chairman's Charity Year is next year, 2016. The charity is Cancer Research UK, a charity very close to our hearts. We have started the fundraising with £138 at The Braids at New Year with our raffle and whisky roll. This money is banked with the Caravan Club and ring fenced for our Charity. Stephen has plans in mind for his challenges, so it got me thinking was there anything I could do?

Those of you who know me will know that I spend quite a lot of time crocheting... so, I've made a little cotton heart brooch. I decided on a heart because most of us have loved ones who've been affected by this horrible disease, cancer.

Stephen has been thinking about his challenge. A physical one, but one that is do-able for everyone of all ages and abilities. Well, the news is, the legendary Sand Pilot of Morecambe Bay, Cedric Robinson MBE has agreed to lead a walk for us next year (2016). It's amazing news, we are so thrilled, so, get your sponsors lined up, we're aiming high !!!

I will be providing all the materials, and all the money raised will be going to Cancer Research UK
