Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Following the very sad death of Stephen Bonner at home in the early hours of 2nd August 2021, we would like to show our gratitude to the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre at Harrogate Hospital by raising money to support them in their vital work. Stephen was diagnosed with cancer on 30th June 2021, and both he and his wife Pippa were shown great care and compassion by the team at the centre. Stephen’s cancer was extremely aggressive and, very sadly, untreatable. Despite this, Stephen and Pippa felt very cared for and supported by the centre, and this was invaluable to them and, in turn, the wider family.

We remain shocked and saddened by how quickly this cruel disease took this kind, loving, intelligent and positive man from us. We would like to honour Stephen’s memory and help Harrogate Hospital to support others suffering due to cancer in the future by raising funds for the Robert Ogden Centre.

Thank you to everyone for their messages, cards, phone calls, visits and thoughts throughout this distressing time- they have been of great comfort to us.

Love, Pippa, Catherine, Peter, Tom, Elizabeth, partners and families x
