Story
I will be completing the London Marathon on the 28th of April 2019 to raise awareness of Sarcoma cancer.
Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat.
I was made aware of this type of cancer 2 years ago when my mother in law Jackie Burns, was diagnosed with a Sarcoma on her leg. The family were all very worried as we didn't know anything about this type of cancer as it is very rare and doesn't get the same publicity as others.
Once we delved further into the investigation, we found that Sarcoma Uk are doing a great job to promote the knowledge of what Sarcoma is how they are fighting to beat it.
Jackie has had the Sarcoma removed from her leg and went through radiotherapy. She is now thankfully fully clear of cancer and is now back to normal life cancer free.
Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.
Thanks for your support.
