I've been with the British Heart Foundation for nearly 20 years. It's been a great place to work at and meet many inspiring people, ranging from the doctors making it all happen at the sharp end, pushing back the frontiers of medicine, to the thousands of volunteers working in our shops, helping at events or raising funds for the BHF.

Challenges don't come much bigger than Everest. It's still an icon to people around the world and, although I'll only be seeing the peak from base camp, it's wreathed in both history and mystery.
