Story
On a daily basis I'm the CIO for Visa europe, but every now and again I get to be just one of the crowd. I'm really chuffed to be one of a group of people who I think of as just 'the right stuff'. They are my role models and with them we've ridden from London to Paris, £50k for the NSPCC; Brussels to Frankfurt, £80k for UNICEF and Paris to Geneva, £103k for UNICEF. Each ride was a little longer than the one before; 310 to 330 miles (each) depending on who you got lost with!. Some days you have the rain slamming down and some you get a baking sun. Going up (always seems like a cliff face) or down a few thoughts are constantly with you. "My backside hurts" (always top of mind), "there's beer at the end", "Sid's a lliar" (our very own pathfinder who insists that it's a 'flat' route), "it's brilliant", ....and most important, NO child deserves to be starving, thirsty, abused or neglected. We're aiming to raise the bar again and it'd be pretty cool if you could help us make life at least a bit better for a few more of them. Hugz.
