Story
I was diagnosed with head and neck Cancer back in July 2015. I underwent 7 weeks of daily radio therapy and 3 rounds of chemotherapy. I am very fortunate to have survived and to be cancer free for over 12 months. However during the treatment and through all the followup appointments the Macmillan team were always on hand to help with anything I needed.
So having used up so much of their resources I feel I am now strong and fit enough to give something back.
The Leeds to Liverpool Canal is 127 miles long so its going to be a long ride. I am not a super fit cyclist and as the towpath is used by everyone for walking , jogging etc, I anticipate my average speed will be around 10 mph. This means its going to take me over 12 hours and so I am more worried about my backside than I am my legs!
With luck I will not be riding alone as friends and family have volunteered to ride with me. If you want to join us then please feel free to join the team

Please give as much as you can to this wonderful cause and If you are on the towpath on Saturday 27th May then please give us a cheer.
Many thanks
Steve Clarke
