Event: Royal Parks Half Marathon 2022, on 9 October 2022
On Sunday 9th October 2022, almost 100 supporters will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and running for the Rory Peck Trust. From Ukraine to Uganda the courage of freelance journalists globally and freedom of speech deserves your support.

Story

I have supported The Rory Peck Trust for a number of years, in fact for over a decade and having seen a number of my freelance journalist friends and their family’s effected by their chosen career path, it only strengthens my support for the Trust.

The Rory Peck Trust is the only charity dedicated to the support, safety and welfare of freelance journalists worldwide. Telling the stories the world needs to hear can come at great risk to freelance journalists, many of whom have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their work. We provide dedicated training and support through our Crisis, Recovery and Trauma Therapy Funds as well as specialist mental health and resilience skills training through our Resilience Programme. We are committed to supporting and protecting freelance journalists who uphold our democratic freedoms. Please support our work and freelance journalists worldwide, thank you.
