Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My gorgeous son Tom is aged 8 and has a rare condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

This condition is a degenerative muscle wasting condition and currently has no cure. On average young boys will be in wheelchairs by the age of 12 and rarely live beyond their twenties. It is cruel and heartbreaking for these young boys and their families.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign do outstanding work in raising awareness of the condition and in funding research into finding a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

I am doing the easy part of running the marathon and I would like you to do the hard part of donating money so Tom and other boys have a better future.
