Story
I'm taking on David Goggins' 4x4x48 ultra challenge to raise money for the Addison's Disease Self-Help Group (ADSHG) - a charity that supports people living with the rare auto-immune condition Addison's Disease.
It's a life-changing and rare condition that affects only 8,500 people in the UK. After being hospitalised, my partner, Charlotte, was recently diagnosed, and if the diagnosis didn't happen as quick as it did, she could've experienced the potentially fatal effects of an Addisonian Crisis.
If you’re not aware of what the 4x4x48 challenge entails, it’s a 4 mile run every 4 hours, for 48 hours - running a total distance equivalent to just under two marathons in two days.
I'll be running at the following times, starting on Friday April 2.
8pm, 12am, 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm, 12am, 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm.
Your donations will not only raise awareness of a relatively unknown disease, but it'll also serve as mental fuel to help prevent me from packing it in and sleeping through those 12am and 4am alarms...
No amount is too little or large - thank you in advance.
