We offer tailored one-to-one support to adults with mental illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the ripe old age of 42 I've decided to run my first half marathon, and alongside the "fun" I'll have I thought I'd try and raise a little cash for Chapter, a very important mental health service in Cheshire.

There's a growing need for mental health support in the UK and the NHS just doesn't have the funding or resources to cover this, which is where charities like Chapter attempt to bridge the gap.

Chapter is dedicated to improving the lives of people experiencing mental ill-health and helping them regain confidence and moving towards fulfilling their life goals.

Chapter help over 200 people recovering from serious mental illness every year, as well as supporting community groups to improve mental health, at the end of 2020 one of those people was my wife Nicola.

I know we're all being squeezed financially, but for every £1 donated, 85p of that goes directly towards  delivering mental health services. Just £5 buys two cups of coffee for someone in need to chat with a mental health support worker giving them time to talk and share.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
