Story

So I've been asked to do a Coast to Coast cycle with 4 others to raise money. The trip is around 170 miles. Easy peasy..... Lol

I'm raising money for a close pal's daughter Charlotte.

Charlotte was diagnosed from an early age with a rare condition called McCune Albright Syndrone which is a genetic disorder, it affects the bones, skin and several hormone-producing tissues.

People with McCune Albright Syndrome develop areas of abnormal scar like tissue in their bones , a condition called Polyostic Fibrous Dysplasia.

Last year Jamie (my pal) did another event (which infortunatly I couldn't attend- not this year tho) and raised money which enable some American doctors to come over last October who spoke to over 70 people with Charlottes syndrome.
They got together with other European doctors (he didn’t fund this bit) and are all working together on streamlining treatment and research.
This year we want to raise more funds to expand this.

Charlotte is a true diamond- I've never met anyone so dry and quick witted- she cracks me up when ever I see her- she's a very strong minded and positive young lady and she loves a good brew.....I would be most grateful for any donations that you would care to sponsor me.

Pics of our silly antics along the way will be posted for you entertainment!!!

About the charity

The Fibrous Dysplasia Support Society (FDSS) was formed in 2007 by a group of patients, and their carers, who are affected by Fibrous Dysplasia, McCune Albright Syndrome (MAS) or Cherubism. It exists to provide information and support by sharing our knowledge and experience of the condition.
