Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am leaving on 19th January 2017 to fly to Rovaniemi in Finland.  From there I will walk over 100km in sub zero temperatures to the Arctic Circle finishing on the 25th January 2017.  I might fit in a visit to Santa Claus as well as Rovaniemi is the Capital of Lapland!

This is a significant challenge and personal test and I aim to raise lots of money for a magnificent cause - Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity in support the Children's Hospital who do amazing life saving work every single day.  

GCHC has made a huge difference to our family's lives and I am dedicating my effort to Millie and Gracie Mallon, two of our three beautiful granddaughters, who are here because of their immense fighting spirit and the skill and loving care of their Mum and Dad - Stephanie and Bryan and the many amazing doctors and nurses who made sure they had a fighting chance.  Big sister Zoe makes sure they don't get away with too much just because they had a difficult start!  Alison and I are blessed with a wonderful family.
