The Children's Literacy Charity is celebrating its 30th Birthday -, this is a charity very close to my heart and one I have supported for the last 16 years due to the amazing support they provide to children  in inner city schools struggling with literacy, there intervention is genuinely life changing. 

While I did not directly benefit from CLC’s amazing interventions, I know first hand the importance of early years intervention and 1:1 support having struggled significantly with literacy throughout my life. The intervention and support I was lucky enough to received in my childhood changed my life and enabled my onward education and career. 

The Children's Literacy Charity believes there should be no barriers to education and work to close the literacy gap. Working in partnership with school staff, we complement what's going on in the main classroom. The Literacy Labs bring added value to schools and we provide expert one-to-one literacy support for children who experience disadvantages, and are at risk of being left behind with their reading, writing and comprehension.
