Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team are a group of very special people who do a fantastic job In providing a very highly trained search and rescue service, from  injured walkers on the moors to missing vulnerable people in less rural  areas, the service they provide is second to none and totally voluntary but none of this would be possible without the kind donations from the general public as the teams survival relies entirely on donations  and fundraising. The cost of running the team for a year is around £25,000 which is a huge amount to find so every penny really does count .
