Pathfinder Multi Terrain event Saturday 22nd June is a 46 mile run / walk around the WW2 airbases in Cambridgeshire is held annually on the Saturday nearest the longest day of the year (giving time to complete this challenge).  I have not trained for the event with the longest runs being the odd club run.  The event will be my most challenging event to date due to the lack of training physically and mentally.

My father in law has this terrible disease.  For those who dont know about Alzheimers, it is a disease of the brain and there is no cure.  There is also very little funding for Alzheimers and yet more and more people are being diagnosed with this terrible disease.

Alzheimers disease is now one of the leading causes of death in the UK, a major study has found.  The disease shot up from the 24th most common cause of death to the 10th between 1990-2010, figures show.  It continues to be one of the fastest rising causes of death in this country.  This study was published in The Lancet.

So please consider supporting Alzheimers, we need to find a cure for this awful disease.
